Screamadelica here, I think when it came out it was one of the best albums ever although Leftism is pretty awesome as well.

Laser guided melodies is ace, but doesn’t fit with these others – its for a different type of night (IMO)

Leftism, they were toured doing it again live couple if months back – it was very very good. Followed by Massive attack’s no-protection

Screamadelica or Blue Lines for coming down.

Leftism for that initial slightly edgy coming up stage and early bliss 🙂

Pre night out was always techno (or DnB depending on where we were going….normally the Que Club)

After was usually Journeys by DJ – Coldcut, Massive Attack, Children of the Bong, any Ninja Tune

played on repeat until the 1000 yard stares set in, and thoughts turned to to trying to eat a chip, then chewing it for half an hour before dropping another pill.

I seem to pass-out in a blissful haze by the time ‘Melt’ ends on Leftism!

Still fondly remember seeing the Liveism tour at the Anson Rooms. Definitely one of my top ten gigs.

Blue Room- longest ever single or something similar?

But Leftism gets my vote. I remember dancing to it with my now 19 year old son when he was in nappies. Hi Rob 😉

    Spaceman 3 end of thread!

    All good though

Spacemen 3 would have been a bit too much for me – maybe Playing with Fire would have been OK, but I preferred Perfect Prescription. Trouble is, by the time I had discovered allnighters & chemicals I had forgotten about all the great music I used to listen to!

am I the only person who didn’t buy an album between 1989 and 1994.. preferring to rely on the latest tapes from the radio shows.. raves and parties..?

Have to agree, to be honest. But the documentary last night was great. Especially the stuff about Loaded.

Good to see some spacemen 3 fans on here 😉

    Aphex twin, selected ambient works
    The beloved, blissed out
    Spacemen 3, reoccurring
    Depthcharge, lust

And at Dawn I used to run a microphone from the stereo out of the window and amplify the Dawn chorus x 10

    Bloody amazing

    Uforb is their best imo

Always used to drift off to klf/chill out. Its a classic. And it has sheep on the cover.
