Earlier in week mentioned my Cove Handjob was stolen in Bridgwater, looking on ebay have found what looks like my forks. Not too good a picture but they appear to have the old Hope crown race still on them. Have asked some questions from a friend's account but no reply yet. Should I just ask him where he got them from and say will inform Ebay they are stolen ?

Firstly I'd remove the link otherwise you'll have "helpful" people on here emailing him asking all sorts of questions, he'll gets suspicious, pull the ad and disappear.
Or alternatively, you'll have a very upset genuine seller...

That seller looks pretty dodgy, going by their sold items and feedback.
I reckon you should try to arrange a viewing as you're local to them (suspiciously so).
Otherwise, win the auction - arrange to pick up and take the cops with you.
I think if you give them the heads up that you've spotted your stolen forks you'll lose them.Good luck!

All I would say is that it is a pretty good description. Good spelling and not the usual half cocked illiterate nonsense that is often associated with stolen stuff.

Description of the brake is quite specific too... not saying it's not someone who's pinched it though

Are you having a laugh?? Can't spell "length"; no details about the fork's use, how old they are etc. Not what I'd call a good description.

MRGoriff - Any response from the seller yet?

MrGoriff, YGM. Basically I would say notify the police ASAP, and don't make him suspicious. And get the mods to pull this thread in case it pops out of Google.
