Hi, have had some issues with this crappy weather and it has led to us having to bite the bullet and accept we need one side of the house repointing. Have had one quote so far and it s proving very difficult to get anyone else interested in quoting as they are all so busy with storm damage work. The price quoted was £1200 with a full wall scaffold, this sound ok?

Pointing is always surprisingly expensive as not many do it and even less do it well.

What size wall and what kind of pointing? There are loads of guys who just specialise in pointing only, seek those out first, they’ll be cheaper and much faster

Cheers, no idea what type but the size is a side wall of a standard 3 bed 2 storey property. Will google pointing specialists in the area and see what I can find
