Interesting topic I know… Quick question about it though. Is there any reason why I can’t feed the waste pipes for a dishwasher AND a washing machine into the same waste pipe (two flexi hoses from the appliances into one hard waste pipe, currently only being used for the washer).

We had dishwasher and washing machine into the same outlet at the last house without issue.

They both ended up joining the drain from the kitchen sink too.

Cheers guys. The sink waste joins the current washer waste too anyway. Now I just need to see whether the pipe is long enough to reach!

No reason why not unless waste pipe is small. Standard is 40mm and can cope with the waste flow from both.

I just fitted a dual spigot trap to our new sink, works a treat. Picked it up at Plumbase, who were very helpful.
