Cal and some mates were at the bunkhouses at Mabie last weekend – hot tub, good food and not costly. Not in the Lakes, but not too far and plenty apart from cycling on offer.

We have stayed in Bassenthwaite village hall twice now- it’s warm, you have it to yourselves, there’s showers and proper bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen as well as space for your bikes. Also filthy cheap, but you do have to use camp mats on the floor. Really nice and cosy, and it has a piano.

sykeside bunkhouses. excellent on site facilities and location.

Is this any good, owned by leeds uni. they have something simmilar nr Settle too.
