Got a '09 Remedy 9: the silver / raw / anodised looking one. Actually seems to be painted, or lacquered anyway. Less than a year old and always kept indoors.

Lacquer recently started bubbling on main frame: particularly on top of top tube. When I gently scratch off the bubbled lacquer there's a small dark pin-prick sized pit in the metal underneath. One pit underneath each bubble. At least 20 of these have appeared in the last month or two.

Anyone else have similar issues. Anything to be concerned about? Is my frame corroding from the inside out?

(Apart from the paint – fantastic bikes!!)

Sounds bad considering the age of the bike – I'd say a defective paint job. I've had it happen on one of my bikes but after 6 years of winter riding and hosing down….and in more vulnerable areas such as around the BB and bottle bosses.
