    I’m after some thoughts from the STW hive mind.

    I currently have a Boardman CX comp as my commuter/general hack bike and a Giant Defy as my winter/training bike.

    I like my venerable Defy but I would like disc brakes for wet days and I would like something as versatile as the CX comp but that weighs less than a small planet. I an unusual N-1 move I would like to consolidate these two into one new bike.

    I really like the look of the Pinnacle Dolomite 6 Link (low weight, sporty side of relaxed geometry, hydro discs and shimano groupset) but it is limited to 25c tyres with guards.

    Essentially I want this but with room for bigger tyres for light off road duty, any suggestions?

    I know the Arkose is popular here. My wife has a Norco threshold which is a nice bike, they have the search also. (Excuse the Evans content, they are near the office
