Gone are the days I could just ride the stock springs apparently 😳

I’m 90kg without kit, so assuming 95kg approx, does this put me in ‘extra firm’ territory? I’m a little confused by the rock-shox service info, the new charts refer to ‘black’ springs being extra firm, but don’t refer to Pikes.

I like my forks to sit up a wee bit, plus will potentially be learning to fall off things again drop and jump again so not too worried about them being a little firm, just don’t want masses of sag!

I’m about the same as you and the firm spring is fine with no compression damping. This is for general riding including small upto 3 ft drops. Not been jumping on it but I plan to. I would rather my fork sucked bumps up rather than being too firm and bouncing around over rough stuff.

Firm = Blue yeah? I thought they were for riders up to 90kg, so I’d be at the ‘saggy’ end of that range…

Shame the forks don’t have floodgate on them, that would be the easiest way.
