    Hi Chaps,

I’m going to fit a longer air shaft to my Pike, just wondering what oil everyone uses for their lowers. There’s a very specific Rockshox oil, I’ve got 7.5wt Motul I used in my 36s…. I’m assuming that’ll be fine to use in the lowers? It’s just to wet the foam wipers, and keep the bushes full….

    Cheers!

5-30w fully synthetic engine oil. Suspension fluid is designed for damping control, not cavitating and stuff. Engine oil is designed to lube slidy surfaces, so is more suited to lower lubrication. IMHO

I use the TF Tuned lower leg mix stuff.

0-20w is the rockshox viscosity spec AFAIR.

    0w-30 according to the manual.
