End of the first lap ...........
End of the first lap ...........
Weather seems to be better than forecast here in Gloucester. WIsh I was there and not here at work. Think the riders will get off fairly lightly rain wise. How wet is the course looking?
Where's the mountains? Where's the mayhem?
I hope the worst of the rain held off for them although the radar picture is still showing heavy showers drifting across that area this evening.
Tomorrow should be better but I would imagine the course will be pretty cut up by then.
Where's the mountains? Where's the mayhem?
You need mindovermatterhorn for that.
Looks absolutely thrilling
Good luck to the people doing it. But that pic sums up the atmosphere of MM, dull.
Is there actually any hills?
You not there chunky?
Is there actually any hills?
Hahaha, not ridden at Eastnor I take it?
As confirmed by Sharki's Garmin, 10.3 miles and 1400ft of climbing per lap...
Is there actually any hills?
No it's dead flat and there's a cafe half way round for you to stop and tell each other how you owned that last gravel path.
you jest, but a few years back STW had a bar set up on the course...
The Stella stop, it was very popular.
I remember the STW lurkers tent one year. First time solo, and I stopped at the top to watch the time tick by with 2 stellas and a doughnut. I have been a subscriber ever since.
450m of climbing per lap (per Matt Page's tweet yesterday).... a photo of the start/finish can be deceiving!
I'm sat at home this year anyway - my lounge is definitely flat.
and as for the gravel paths, some of them are well knarly...
Ive lost count of the velocakers and twitter buds i met today + 5 mlehworlders and one unknown random rider who said hi RD whilst passing
Only 977 photos to upload!
Very warm in the sun with occasional sharp showers
Oh and i met guy martin...chief
*Jealous*
Where are the mlehers camped? You going again tomo? Was Guy racing?

I couldn't think of anything more mind numbing than going to one of these stupid events with hundreds of other idiots everywhere I looked.
I bet that chap in the pic above and his mates all laugh everytime they see him in his fat suit. He is truly the funiest man alive, what a character!! I wish I rode with people like that...
I couldn't think of much more mind numbing than posting that sort of comment but there you go...
Mayhem does look like a good event and Nick Craig = legend. It's not just him that's an immensely nice guy and good on a bike, it's his whole family, very unfair
It's dry
I hope the sponsors are giving away some samples as that guy in the fat suit is going to need some
sssssuuuuuuummmmmooooooo.................
