I’m building my own stove fan and I’ve just about got everything I need, I’ve got myself a couple of peltiers from EBay and there’s no indication of the hot/cold side can I use it any way round or are they sided?

not hot cold sided, but the current pole will depend on orientation. You can switch wires if you need polarity. But with a DC motor you wont I dont think. I cant quite remember if it mattered when I did mine.

I would have thought it would as the motor will spin either CW or CCW depending on polarity (not that I’ve played with a DC motor for 30 years or more)…..

good point. the prop will be handed.

Cool so it shouldn’t matter as I can revers the polarity on the motor, pics will follow when its presentable

I tried making one but struggled to get enough current into the wee DC motor I bought; you need a special low voltage DC motor. Mine would rotate but only slowly.
