Windows explorer keeps crashing, ive done a scan with avast – nothing. i downloaded spybot, trid it but nowt.

from typing in that Q to google i found the name vitumonde, and spybot scanned for that for ages..

That’s an awful lot of stuff you have running – is it all started at start-up?

Try running msconfig [Run > msconfig] & disabling everything that’s not needed

indeed to early in the am 😳

no, only the very basics are running at start up, i was in the middle to trying to find out what the heck this is..

Still, the thing is Windows Explorer that keeps crashing – any experience with that?

Put the XP disc in & run a repair install
