Im after a PAT test machine for work

Any recommendations, i dont really know much about them ?

But i want something simple and quick.
We need 300 – 800 items doing in one sitting.

This is the one i was looking at as its both battery and plug …

    Hi Womp.
I’ve got one of those (or extremely similar). It’s ok. You can do specific single tests (ie Insulation resistance) or a sequence of tests on one item. You can sort of store data on it but frankly I wouldn’t bother. I write the results down on a simple spreadsheet or enter them into a package such as simplypats or easypat.
Don’t suppose you’re anywhere near west wales? You’d be welcome to try it.
    Any questions,just ask.

I wouldn’t fancy doing 800 in one sitting!. Are these repeat tests or new? With that number if they are new then I’d be tempted to contract it out then maintain it after that!

I use a Seaward Apollo 600 with the bluetooth printer for labelling – it prints barcodes to make subsequent inspections easier.
We bought the s/w too for cataloguing results for future cross-checks.
It’s ok, although we’ve had reliability issues.

yes it seems like its a big ask the more i look into it, we do have a company come in annually to do the bulk of items which is around 9000

i think ill go with the Delta PAT and i can always upgrade with a printer / bar-code if i need it at a later date.

PAT test machine = PORTABLE APPLIANCE TEST TEST MACHINE.

    It’s always annoyed me.

I have a seaward supernova. When the rep brought it round he demoed it using a kettle, it just so happened the demo screen had a picture of a kettle on it. A colleague commented on how clever it was auto detecting the appliance being tested.

He’s still reminded about this on a daily basis 12 years later.
