I have just been given a new 14″ laptop for work and my normal panniers don’t really cut it in terms of keeping the laptop safe. My commute is over rough roads so lots of bouncing happens.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a pannier that will hold a 14″ laptop safely and securely (and dry) over country roads? It doesn’t need to be a fancy bag, just get the laptop to and from work in one piece.

On the odd occasion I have to carry my 15.6″ laptop I use my normal Ortlieb city panniers, it fits fine. I did buy a neoprene sleeve though from ebay which seems to do the job.
