Naw bikes involved?

On your bike trips where do you go?

Some trips are just on Rothiemurchus and the Spey, finishing at the Old bridge inn some are further afield.

Next week we’re off to Loch Maree for a couple of days to do a trip.

Knoydart and the northwest for other boat/bike trips too.

    For bikes and boats

No bikes on the Feshie as it’s (well certainly the gorge section) a bit on the gnarly side. Likely to be bike/boat/rock/face interaction!

Loch Maree is great. Remember to visit the viking graves.

SO you do trips you couldn’t otherwise do, ride places that would otherwise be tough to get to?

camping on an island sounds fun.

    Really depends on terrain

but the boat only weighs just over 2 kg paddle and BA 1kg ish so add that onto your usual bikepacking kit.

The bikerafting vid up there we do around 15-20km on bikes and then 6km on water. all in all it takes the day 9-5 including cake and beer stops

A real man would use a rechargeable drill with a spare prop gaffertaped to it.

That’s got me thinking though. I really should get round to heading out for a weekend on my kayak soon. I planned a trip last year, but never got round to it.

What would he use to stop?

Another drill mounted at the bow.

Or, just put the drill in reverse.

Or a brick on a long piece of string tied to the back of the boat.

    Minor problems.

Aye the findorn video was us pushing the boats limits (and ours) that section was grade 4 in places. we stick to grade 1-2 on trips.
