I’d like to start doing some ‘overnight’ MTB trips with the better half in the spring. She’s a good rider but not super-fit so I’m looking for fun rides of around 20 miles or so a day (not super-tough) that can be looped together over two days with an overnight stop in the middle. To start with I’d be looking for some credit-card camping, so a stop with a hostel or B&B would be ideal. Anywhere in the North of England or the Borders would be great…
I’m a competent navigator so doesn’t need to be signposted, and I can find a route from a map, but some ideas of where to start looking might save some time! I was thinking Swaledale/north dales perhaps?
