  • Outdoor lights – do they get broke in t'cold?

My outdoor light is going on and off like an on/off-y thing. Very annoying and may bring in stray air traffic if it keeps up.
Do the sensors get affected by the cold, or has it just had it? I’ve been playing with the little dials on the bottom, but to no avail…

    Thanks

Is it actually snowing where you are? I imagine if snow settles on (or falls very close to) the sensor it could be enough to set off the light.*

Hmmm, yeah it has been snowing a lot, and I have read that reflected light can set it off, but not sure if it’s that as I seem to remember it starting before the ice age started this week.

No snow on the sensor though, and it’s about 3m up…

Moisture ingress shorting out the electrics?

Yr probably right. I’ll have to wait ’til the weekend and get it open and get the switch spray out.

    Thanks mw.
