You could look at the Wolf multi star range, it is basically a long handle onto which other bits can be attached, hoe, dutch hoe, rake etc., good if storage space is limited.

A Garden fork is pretty useful as well.

Yes, a PROPER fork. Old school and proper steel. Keep it sharp and clean and it’ll last an age unlike the tatt in BQ/Homebase.

my GF bought me a lemon tree, currently has two yellow lemons and 30-40 swelling. I do expect to loose a few over the winter though. (they 12months to develop from flower to usable lemon)

+1 for the felcos. They’ll use them more than almost any other gardening tool and will enjoy using them. get them the holster as well fur a bit of gardening bling.
