I had this op three months ago. Interested in others experiences in rehab/getting back on the bike etc. Specifically, I had a meeting with the consultant last week and although they’re really please with progress, they’re talking about removing the pins holding everything together…

Has anyone else had pins removed? Experiences? I’m told it’s a simple procedure to remove the pins, would like real world confirmation. 🙂

I’m back on the road bike and getting miles in, but don’t think I’ll be ready for meaningful off road for a fair while yet…Been told also that falling on the pins isn’t something I want to do.

At three months, I’m sore when I sit for long periods still, and still have a bit of a limp. I seem to be doing better than most of the folk I’m in physio with, but to be honest, they’re not exactly motivated or hugely active…
