    Great job Cruz, and enjoy your fires! You soon get the technique of lighting – try using a fair bit less paper, I suspect too much blocks the draught from below.

    Think my plans for a stove have gone to crap. Had a chat with her indoors the other day about long term plans and it would seem that she wants to finish off doing this house up to sell and get somewhere with a garden. I’m not going to spend a shedloads of cash on something that I’m only going to enjoy for a year or two then have to do it again in a new place.

    @norternmatt apparently they add very good value to house when it comes to selling 5%, could be worth the investment to enjoy then bump up final sell price..

    Great job guys. Anyone put a wood burner in a new build with no external walls immediately adjacent? Would really love to put a burner in.

    You’ll have to use a twinwall flue.
