Been to Lee Quarry today, rode up to Crag Quarry on the new link bridleway and back down again. It was fun.
Drove home, then on my way upstairs for a shower I slipped and landed heavily on my left hand.
Been to A&E tonight and I’ve got a spiral fracture of the 5th metacarpal.
Question is, I’ve entered the enduro at Innerleithen on the 30th Jan, am I likely to be able to ride by then?

And yes I know I should wait to see what the medical professionals say, but I just wondered what you lot thought.

My mate also tripped and broke his hand this summer (same injury). He was out of action for just over 6 weeks and even then his hand took some time to get strong again …… sorry 🙁

You have a chance of riding at a guess 6 wks for a broken metacarpal sounds about right. Depends tho – as always
