i suppose nobody has seen one yet but they seem quite good for £140? no?
is 900 lumens a bit overkill?

£90 more than the 900lumen Deal Extreme light?

What does the Luu have that the DX doesn't? lighter battery? better build?

if all has gone to plan with collection the lights should be with us tuesday / wednesday and well be getting the first batch despatched and out to be delivered by the end of the week

still not had a shipment confirmation and evidently theres a lot of air freight being moved out of the far east at the moment so thats not a certainty but touch wood its all arranged for to catch the weekend flight , clear customs monday , with us tuesday / wednesday

weve also got a batch of lights coming from a japanese company that we met at eurobike , theyre a manufacturer for cateye and many others and are now focussing on producing their own range , pricing is pretty reasonable and japanese people are very lovely to do business with , theyre not mega high powered but have some nice features

This Torch vs MTB light is a hot discussion on forums. One has to compare like for like – or light for light (soz)… DX as i understand runs off 2x AA batteries, so the run time is going to be shorter than the 4.5 hours from the Luu LED's Li-Ion battery. Luu LEDs also have a CNC battery pack extra to give you an extra 1.5hours. The Luu LED has a driver that regulates the battery life.. The DX torch optic is fixed where as the LUU LED is changeable… thus giving the rider flexibility when mounting on handlebars or helmet… For more info check the news section on our site

Stevo – it's not the P7 torches I'm looking at for comparison with yours (LUU) and the CRC equivalant. It's the DX Bike Light: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149.

Mighty – dunno, The Luu is a departure from other LED lights. It has a multi function or adaptable features. Other accessories include; Narrow / Wide beam lens, CNC 4xAA battery pack and they come in a range of colours…

…and What MTB have called them Lumicycles or have put a picture of our Luu LED picture instead of the Lumicycles picture.. The give away is the CNC battery case 🙂
