The 1st 3 sprockets on my slx cassette are moving around all over the shop as noticed and heard on a trip to sherwood pines today 🙁
Is the free hub on the fatty wheelset alloy or steel? i’m thinking the alloy spider carrier on my cassette is the culprit?

My Fatty has a steel freehub body.

    What cassette are you using?

Hi Joe, its an SLX HG-81, its rattling around (1st 3 sprockets at the top) has to be a dodgy cassette, its 6 rides old though!

Top meaning high gear (smallest cogs) or low gear (largest cogs)?

Sorry, low gear largest cogs! 🙂

Yep, they’re all mounted to the same carrier.

Are you sure that the lockring is tight?

Was the spacer left out by chance?

Sorry Joe, should of explained better, it moves in a turning motion not pulling or pushing motion if that makes sense? it turns on the hub 2-3mm, removing it tomorrow mate and i’ll update this thread 🙂
