I have some old Saints but am thinking of replacing them with some SLX brakes – has anyone used both and how do they compare?

Had old XT which are same as old Saint. SLX are a bit better, but probably just cuz my XT were very well used and abused. I also have new XT, SLX are better IMO, the pad adjust on new XT is just a gimmick.

    Not used Saint.

SLX are very powerful (with 203mmm rotors), but the levers have that crimped bit and I've bent one a bit in a crash.

Just saying, in case you wanted them for a big bike – might be a factor.

Funnily enough, my Saint levers are the same and I've just bent them. I'm just wondering whether its worth repairing my Saints or getting some SLXs from CR

I bent a new XT lever blade, just bent it back. The servo gubbins seemed to really complicate lever repalcement. Havnt looked at changing the SLX lever blades, but they do seem more flexy and a bit cheaper.

Or….I could upgrade my Saints with some Straitline levers
