    I have done a bit of research and come to the conclusion I may have a Peugeot Competition (PX10). I think it is late 70's cause it has a 7 digit serial number but looks very much like an 80's model PXN10E I have seen. It needs a few bits – any ideas the best place to get them to restore bike?

    what sort of bits you looking for?

    gears only – front & rear mech, cables, gear levers for frame mounting
    also the rubber grippy bits to the tops of the levers
    and perhaps a better seat – it currently has a Brooks B17 (?) which is as hard as concrete
    not looking to spend too much

    reason iask is i've just stripped an old carlton circa 78/79 to make hak/work bike, all the parts that acme off are virtually unused as bike was stored for 15 years. e-mail me if your interested
