I was thinking of entering the 8hr event solo.
What's the course like? How long? How hilly? I've done MM at Eastnor and 24/12 at Newnham, is it similar?
Any idea how full it gets?
    Cheers

given that this is the first year they're running it i think your guess is as good as mine in terms of how full it will be.

course is likely to be the same as the bristol bike fest, map and profile here.

Ace, very singletracky, not very hilly, rooty and rocky a real technical riders course. One of the best courses you could ride if it's dry, not too bad if it's wet…

Pretty much an 8 hour version of the bikefest, I shall be entering solo single speed.

I was contemplating doing that kingtut. I think 8 hours would be my limit for solo.

Oktoberfest = Mudfest? I can't imagine it being dry, fingers crossed though!

Why's it moved to Bristle this year?

Probably because the new people who owned the site at Cheddar were a shower of **** and made people people feel very unwelcome and charged silly prices for pitches.
