Anyone know of any super duper deals on these emperors new clothes?

A frame has just come on sale to peak enough of my interest, but in order to make it work as a project I’d need to keep other build costs as low as I could. And as the main bulk of this would be the rolling side of things does anyone know of any deals to get me into the rarefied new world of half fat, wide rimmed wheels?

Your main expense is the rims. Any hubs will do as. I’ve built up a rear Alfine for my Krampus with a 31mm Pacenti rim. Which seems to be working fine so far. However, it’s still a £40 rim, so min £80 or so on rims. Probably more like £120+ if you want 35mm or wider.
