  • Oil on Reba rebound adjuster

I’ve had a set of 2013 Rockshox Rebas doing nothing for a while; they’ve been sat down the shed for about a year and were lightly used on my bike before that.

I’ve just fitted them to my wife’s bike to replace her horrid coil Recons and they seem to be working without issue. However when I pull out the rebound adjuster there’s a film of oil on the hex shaft and inside the adjuster (although no pooling in the adjuster cap itself). The o ring around the bolt itself seems fine and I can see no sign of leakage on the outside of the bolt, just the oil on the rebound adjuster shaft which fits inside the bolt.

Is this anything to worry about? There’s very little oil showing considering the age of the forks.

    Anyone?

As above the forks seem to be working without issue.

Clean it off and see if it comes back again. I’d have thought the bath oil from around the bolt/crush washer would be more of a concern.
