If I run them both the same way will it work and make my effective headtube a bit longer?

Yes, but only by a few mm. You’d be much better off getting wider bars or a longer stem.

The bearings are not flat they are at an angle so it would not work – not a good idea.

Peat etc had some for this years dh races… just offset no angle change.

Yeah wide bars check, slightly longer stem check (but don’t want to go longer than 50mm) and every little helps when it comes to the headset 🙂

So if Peaty had some was that pro-only or could I get some?

None that I’m aware of on the market but it’d be an easy enough think to make.

    Get a 60mm stem, honestly!

Long stems and wide bars = crap handling.

To be honest, I’ve tried various stem sizes over the years (maybe my bars arent wide enough though) and I found 70mm was the point where things went a bit ****, 60mm always felt good to me.
