New Scott Spark 50, with a few sublte upgrades. Rides as good as she looks…

Nice! Scott Sparks always look fast! Is it the alu version or carbon?

    What are the ‘subtle’ upgrades??

And don’t put any more white on it 😉

New alloy version, with an FSA carbon seatpost and FSA 282 white alloy bar. Agree about the white – enough as it is. Infact the white Scott saddle isn’t that comfy, or practical, so that might be going for a black Fizik anyway.

Crank looks a bit cheap compared to the rest of the bike…

Maybe, but mudguards help prevent scrot-rot and Trench Arse.

Can’t be going about with mouldering, fetid scrottly bits.

Funny how people first look at the crank and go “looks a bit cheap”, when really its probably one of the areas that you’ll tell the least difference between the odd model up or down the range, aside from a bit of weight.

Bet its internal bottom bracket bearings too. Will last for ages. Longer than a HTII in any event 😉

Yeah, Nutt, you’re laughing, but wait until you’re down the Cobbly Bobblers clinic, with something festering and pustulent…
