  • Non-tubeless tyres running tubeless? Tyre recommendations?

    Hi all.

Thanks for your help on the which wheel thread, went with Roval Traversee in the end.

    Which brings me to tyres!

It's my first time running tubeless, I have a bunch of nearly new tyres, minion 2.5, hi-roller 2.3 etc. all dual ply so stiff sidewalls, but none are tubeless-specific. Will I be ok running these on the traversee with some stans sloshed in?

Don't want to 'waste' nearly new tyres. 🙂

I'm light (9 to 9.5 stone) and ride light on my feet.

    cheers

Oh, and seperate question any recommendations for future replacements? What work best tubeless, but minimising weight?

    2.35 ideally.

yes you can run the tyres tubeless but cant go for as low pressures as the sidewalls arent as strong.

Doesn't matter. Pick one you like the tread.

i run a NN 2.25 non UST on me bike and never ever had a problem with it,

just pick a tyre you like and go with it.

i run mine about 28-32psi and no worries.

I use single ply Maxxis on all 3 sets of wheels all non tubeless tyres run as tubeless with Stans milk.

    High rollers
    Swampthings and
    Crossmark/Advantage combo

no probs with any of them.

    Any Schwalbes work very well.

I use Eskar 2 bliss control tyres on my traversee wheels, went on easy sealed well and I also use Stans.

Just Riding Along recommend Maxxis, which you seem to have.
