    Currently using a 70mm stem on my nomad but off to the alps soon would i benefit from a shorter stem ?

    I was happy with 90mm and 110mm. I probably can’t help.

    Surely it has to depend on your top tube length, your reach, your saddle position, etc. etc.

    If youre happy with it, dont change it.

    Already feels a bit on the small side but thought a smaller stem might help on the tight switchbacks

    You do need weight on the front in switchbacks remember.

    20mm difference isn’t going to be the er.. difference… between making a switchback and not.

    It will make it feel a bit better on the way down.
