the spd xtr pedals on my nomad are now dangerous as clipping out is very difficult so i want to replace them before this weekends ride! Any suggestions? I still want SPD’s though!

M520s are only about 50g heavier than XTR, are £20 if you know where to look and work exactly the same

Are you sure somehting else isn’t up for clipping out to become dangerous? Like loose cleats?

are you sure it’s your pedals & not just the cleats ?

if you like shimano pedals, just pick a price range & buy some

I had 520’s on my bike for 2 yrs, still work fine but look like I’ve been dragging them behind the car for the last 6 months.

“look like I’ve been dragging them behind the car for the last 6 months”

But so will any SPD pedal surely?

Change the cleats and give it a few rides to break them in, XTR SPD’s are nuke proof, the cleats are the parts that wear.

I’ll change the cleats and give em another chance 🙂
