Considering purchase of Nobby Nic’s 2.25, Pacestar, TL, Snakeskin, to run tubeless.
    Anything else I should consider?

    Tyres

    Black ones…

On a more helpful note, what exactly are you going to use them for? If it’s for XC racing, it’s not going to help if I recommend dual ply High Rollers for instance!

If you like them and had them already- buy them.

Otherwise – the snakeskins are a lot smaller than the normal TL ones.

The Pacestar ones go tubeless with absolute zero faff.

For mud, woods, Dales, Lakes, Moors, & tarmac in between off road trails.
    An all rounda, except racing.

Couldawouldashoulda – the tyres are listed TL, or TL Snakeskin, so are you saying TL Snakekin are smaller than just TL?

Went from NNics to these mutha-truckers. Great tyres, can’t fault ’em.
The 2.25 Exception versions, that is.

I’ve got Nobby Nics on the hardtail. They’re not a patch on the Maxxis Advantages on the boingy bike, in ANY conditions

Intense System 5’s – I found Nobby Nics a bit fragile.

I’ve recently gone from Nobby Nics 2.25 to Panaracer CG 2.35, I’ve been liking the grip but not tried them in the mud yet. Think I’ll try a Panaracer on the front and a Nobby Nic on the back.

Went from ust nobby nics on my soul to tubeless ready specialized purgatory’s

Found them just as grippy but roll faster than the nics

the 2.25 is a ‘taller’ tyre, I had trouble fitting it in my old trance on the rear it was so tall. I have it on the front now and I like it a lot. I’ve not used high rollers for a few years but would say the advantage is ‘maxxisy’ in that I trust it not to break out randomly and it just does the job nicely.
