Wow that video makes me dizzy.

    Fair play though.

cant get my head round people who do things where 1 mistake is a life ender.

Most of our heralded adventurers face this – we would never have climbed Everest if we didn’t have people prepared to give it a go.

Well, that’s me signing that for the rest of the day.

When he was climbing down I had a brief moment of “at least he’s using a harness to be safe getting up and down”. Nope, just using it to carry his unicycle.

    Love it.

But then a lot of my work is at height, so don’t have an issue with it.

Which tyres for bunny hopping a unicycle sideways on top of a breezy 256m chimney in Romania?

Makes my legs go funny watching that.

A quick google suggests that plenty of people die doing this :(. There is no room for anything to go wrong.

Looks like loads of room, top of that chimney looked wider that I’d have thought.

I think you mean solo climber – free climbing is most often done roped. Done lots of soloing in my time but don’t particularly like watching it – had a few friends die.

As for the OP video – there’s lots of these around particularly from Eastern Europe and Russia, though not necessarily unicycling!

I was quite worried for a minute there – thought he was going to drop one of those oranges, and it would be a long way down to retrieve it.

I suppose the question is whether you’d consider walking around the top of that tower – if not then clearly it’s not for you, but if you would, then I suspect for these people they’re as confident riding a unicycle or juggling as you are walking (I’m confident I could ride around that on a uni without falling off – but would I? Heck no!)

It’s funny isn’t it. Paint two lines one inch apart on the ground and I could probably ride a unicycle along it until I got bored… but a few feet in the air and it would have to be substantially wider to even think about it.

Extrapolating from that, 260-odd metres up, it would have to be at least a mile and a half across before I’d give it a go… 🙂

Nope, mostly because I can’t unicycle. I’ve climbed things like that, though. Worse during the day, because it’s easier to see the ground. I still get the heebie jeebies remembering some night climbs.
