There was a clear shot of them riding over ice, so looks like the ground was frozen. Frozen ground = little or no mud.

The ice broke though so it wasn't that hard.There must have been some mud .It's no fun without sitting in the pub at night covered in mud and blood

I think it was filmed two or three weeks ago, I do recall someone on here mentioning that the shop owner was not *normally* seen on the group rides but made a special effort to be n the telly 🙂
