Anyone done this trip with a bike?

Heading out there in April. Train looks the best value, but just wondering if it’s straight forward enough.

Also cardboard bike box or proper bag for travelling?

Done that trip – not with the bike though – train was very straightforward though, takes a couple of hours & is very pleasant as you head right down the coast being dropped pretty much right in the centre of Finale (10mins walk back to Borgo or 5 mins to beach),someone will be able to fill you in better on the bike transport practicalities.

If you find my bottle somewhere around Finale, give me a shout – lost it there in June 😳

Done it with the bike loads of times now, dead easy.

20 min walk (or €20 cab) from airport to Nice St Augustin station.

Change at a ventimiglia, you have to change platforms, then back onto another train into Finale.

Evoc type bag will definitely make it easier.

Done it with bike bag and pushchair and suitcases it was a nightmare but train was fine and Finale was superb 🙂 Hotel was a short walk from the train station

Anyone know of any transfer companies that do this route?

Defo use something with wheels, did it in summer and it was hard going carrying a huge box and case.
