Any recommendations for something nice for a weekend away with the wife without the kids!

Charlton Arms in Ludlow, a 2 minute ride from miles of trails and downhill courses in Bringewood, 20 mins from Hopton and the Longmynd.

Plus its a great pub, good food, local ale, great view and location, family and biker friendly (they will give you secure storage for your muddy bike if you ask nicely). Great for the family as you can walk into centre of Ludlow, ya missus can check the shops out whilst you ride. Its my local watering hole. 🙂

You could try the Baron of Beef at Bucknell.
You can ride directly from there to either Hopton (via Mynd), or find your own trails and do the scary downhill at Bucknell wood.
And it’s 20 minutes to Mortimer Forest, 25 minutes to the Long Mynd.
Good food, nice bedrooms, decent pint of Ludlow ale. And it’s one of my locals!
