How about we do away with the hackneyed, meaningless and trivial/drivial words/phrases:

    "End of" "Fail" and "MTFU"

    And probably some others.

    Suggestions?

These are often deployed as if they have some ultimate power of ending a discussion, when clearly all they do is mark the utterer down as moribund of ideas. They devalue any comment in which they appear, so maybe we could do without them this year?

I don't see "end of" as meaning the "end of the thread" as you apparently do. I see it as meaning "end of the point which I am making" or "I have nothing else to add" or "that's it in a nutshell" etc etc.

I use it occasionally in everyday speech, and can't see the problem with it. What I do have a problem with is "period". We have a perfectly acceptable term in British which is "full stop". So there is no need to speak American.

Unless of course you happen to be a Yank – in which case you are forgiven.

not sure i agree with this.

plus i use them in real conversation* etc so i feel they are perfectly valid interjections.

DaddyPig, you're not alone: MTFU said with tongue in cheek is always funny.

    So is farting.
