Want some shorts that are longer than shorts but shorter than 3/4s – basically the gripper just below the knee and above the calf – bib would be ace. Anyone know of any?

just try on different manufacturers 3/4s there seems to be a fair variation between brands. I seem to remember the giordana were short, bioracer a bit longer, endura were a crap fit but short.

my ground effect montezumas sound about right. tend to sit at the very top of my calf.

Sounds a bit like my Altura bibs. No idea what they're called, very comfy though.

I have some Pearl Izumi 3/4s that sit at the very top of my calves. Point of note, the thickness of the hem and grippers can be a mite uncomfortable on longer rides as the knee joint closes on it.

My Spesh 3/4 (knickers…) don't go very far below the knee, although I guess it depends on your leg length.
