Has this been discussed yet – looks like a good bracket, weatherproof connection, but you need to buy batteries and charger.

I paid $98 for the MJ-836. So thats an extra $30 for waterproof battery and charger….think that is still the better deal.

Iteresting idea with all the ‘battery’ worries, or if you have a bunch of 18650 batteries left over from running DX P7 torches.
Not sure it’s of much use to most ppl.
Though it’s strange how they’ve downgraded the P7 supposed output to 800lm’s from the std 900 claim (or 1200 as on some ebay ad’s) – not that I know anything about the different variations of the P7.
