I recently made the silly decision to buy a new PC from Mesh… After long delays, it finally arrived but since then, I have been unable to connect to the internet. Can anyone help please?!

I have been using wireless broadband through a Netgear WGR614 router and then have a Buffalo USB adapter in the back of my PC. Never had a problem setting it up on my old pc. On the new one, I have autorun the Buffalo CD and I am getting a dialogue box saying “Not supported by this windows” and “Windows used is x64 Edition”, and “WLI-UC-G series navigator does not support for x64”.

When I tried to autorun the Virgin Broadband CD it went through the first couple of stages Ok but then said “unable to find your wireless adapter”.

Is anyone able to offer any advice please? Getting to the point where I’m going to throw it in the bin soon….

you need a wireless card/usb thingy that is compatible with 64bit Vista

You’ve got a 64bit computer and the software is 32bit only. There’s probably a new version available. Google it, you’ll find it.

I thought most/all new PCs would come with WiFi on the motherboard?
