A quiet kettle would be ideal. I’ve seen a nice glass one, but was a bit noisy.

I’d pay for a quiet one as we have kitchen/lounge/dining room all knocked into one.

Off to boil a pan of water. Gasping for a cup of tea.

Have one of these. Pretty quiet and comes up in tests as one of the best for noise.

I’ve had all manner of kettles that have dropped to bits or just generally been cheap crap (or indeed, expensive crap). That Russell Hobbs has been going for years, boils faster than anything else I’ve owned, and is solidly built. Can’t fault it.

Can’t really comment on noise, I’ve only got the one to compare against. I can’t say it’s noticeably louder than anything else I’ve had, I mean, it’s boiling water right?

Which ever one you get, get one with a thermostat. I have that Bosch one and the 90C setting is perfect for my tea.

Bought a Dualit one. It is pretty. It was stupid money. It is quiet.

Also have that Bosch one. Not sure I’d consider it the quietest ever tho, induction hob and kettle like Captain Sasquatch is much quieter, although doesn’t auto turn itself off like an electric kettle does.
