Thinking of upgrading my old SRAM gx 1000 to SLX as i have had this before on my old Spectral and loved it. Any user experiences? Is it worth the extra £70 or so to go to XT?

I’ve just got SLX 11 speed on the new bike, moving from XTR 10 speed on the old bike. SLX feels great in comparison – can’t see any need for anything else.

Only thing to note is the branding on the cranks rubs off really easily – mine is virtually gone after 70 miles.

Yes. Although they can delaminate and allow dirt to ingress underneath the top layer but the cranks themselves will remain box fresh.
