No, no not one of the new, new ones but rather one of the less new ones 🙂

New, to me at least, 650b plused Genesis Longitude.

Hugos running 3.0″ NN front and 2.8 TB rear. Plenty of room outback for a 3.0 tyre.

I had originally envisaged using these on my Sherpa and whilst they fitted the rear clearance was less than great. A 40mm rm would have been fine.

Step forward kazafaza off of his parish with his almost new Longitude frame and forks. Designed to run 29” or 29 plus wheels and tyres there is oodles of room front and rear. The TB isn’t a particularly big tyre but there is room easily for another 3.0” NN or similar. BB is 15mm lower than ideal (its currently about 285mm) but only time will tell if this is to the detriment of the ride. I dare say a larger volume rear tyre may add a few mm.

Current bike wight is 27lbs as is so plenty of scope for lightning. The whilst weighs comparatively very little but is still running tubes.

Unsurprisingly, for a non suspension corrected frame & fork, the from end is fairly low even with that 160mm HT 😯 I’m going to try the Fleagle bar for a bit but feel a wide riser may suit the bike better 😕

    Shake down ride coming soon!

Flame away – back ground is nothing to do with me other than I like the use of flint 😳

Interesting, as an owner myself I await your opinion of the ride, the BB is low to start off with probably due to its intended use as an off road tourer.

The tyres don’t look very “plus” – maybe its the low profile of the Hugo

Would almost pass as 29er at first glance. Nice frame though, had thought about one of those myself for wandering about on

What’s with the transition from brick to flint?

Might just be my rapidly taken, poor photos 😳

The NN is massive, TB less so.

Doesn’t look out of place next to my fat bike wheels!

I really like the colour too – similar to an old WTB bike I drooled over years ago.

The decals and finish are really good to, the same on my Fortitude.

IIRC the actual TT length is about 25”

Why 650b+ when you can run 29+?

    I already have a 29er + 😉

Plus I want to feel the trails come alive ……
