Built this up to try the 29er thing out from a combination of new, spare and second hand parts. Just a couple of local rides so far, but first impressions are really good – feel much more sat 'in the bike' as opposed to be perched on top and it seems much more stable especially at speed.

collie – yes my first 29er bike, but i had a couple of brief rides on 29ers before. Bit of a gamble building one up without a proper test ride, but everything suggested they should suit me (riding style and height) and so far im really liking it.
