Xl helius fr
cleverly aligned drainpipe and fork
Ah now that would be the bargain XL Helius FR you got from Simon and Mike over at Momentum right?
Very nice indeed; it's quite a long stem for such a freeride orientated bike. Have you thought about a 50mm maybe?
Is it going on the Nicolai MTBR forum as well?
nice............
Cool that. Like it.
Funny though, with ᴎiᴐo┘AI, so many companies unnecessarily change their logo, but ᴎiᴐo┘AI's is awful and it's stayed the same forever!
Not that the logo is that important of course
Nice, but how tall are you?
and, that do a 'mansize one too.................

Nice, but how tall are you?
He's called Big Pete
Looks pricey that, ton..
Lovely looking bike, Never really thought about a Nicolai but getting tempted.
Funny I thought the same about the stem... Looks a bit long?
Not much chance of rad freeride with me on it, its more of a big hill fun trail bike. Looking forward to Snowdon in Spring.
Dont want to cramp the cockpit, stem is 90 but I have 70 and 50 stems to try out.
6'4"
It's a Nicolai love in!
By the way, that's not Ton's bike, it's Wharfe's, a guy from NZ. That thing was custom made from scratch I believe; which is to say that they don't actually make a 29er Helius AC. Wharfe had it specially designed and then made.
In his garage, he also has:
Nicolia Nucelon TFR with Cane Creek
Nicolai Ion with Fox 40s and Chris King etc
A very cool Nicolai Helium FR in Dizzy Urban Camo with full XTR
A Nicolai FXMTB, hard tail jump bike
So this 29er is, as far as I can tell, his fifth Nicolai!

which is to say that they don't actually make a 29er Helius AC
wrong.................
and yes, it is not mine...
some nice bikes there (nods approvingly)
You must be big Pete that seatpost looks well high
Ton - I think they only have the Nonius as a 29er in their 'official' range. The Helius AC is 26" wheeled as standard but obviously you can request anything within reason.
Nicolai's do indeed rule.
Wharfe's collection is awesome if a little on the pricey side, his house looks awesome too
Pete it's fair to say your bike makes the 26" wheels look small!!
geetee1972
spoke to the nicolai guys this week.
they do you know.............
Cool! So what did you order in the end and more importantly, what colour did you pick?
i didn't, i just found out if they did..........and they said they do.
i will need to rob a bank tho...........
did somebody say Nicolai?
sorry I'm late

Dec 05!! large FR, it ferking rocks
Oh, Pete, Tony, we doing a big lads trip to Snowdon??
I now have a Fire Engine Red disco sparkle Helius ST though this is my old FR:

@ Big Pete - that'd look nice with a rubber chicken on it
[or have I got the wrong Big Pete ]
Velly nice Pete - have you killed the 456 yet?
Nope, still going strong.
Why does rubber chicken ring a bell for me??????
Debz had no idea you were a brand man.
Explain what's wrong with it?
I do like the industrial look of Nicolai's
some nice machines there guys

Oh, Pete, Tony, we doing a big lads trip to Snowdon??
nick, i am up for it mate..
and pete said he is doing it, so let's make a date.
LOve thoose mate and the 456 the black fr is lush!
Yup I'm up for a big lads push up Snowdon
29ers always attract a custom upcharge but we expect to sell more Helius AC 29ers than Nonius in future. 29er hardtails also an option.
We've still got some stock to clear at the moment so more bargains to be had - the last few Helius FRs, an Argon FR Rohlof, XS Nonius and a number of Helius CC's with current geometry but top tube cable routing rather than bolt on guides. The CC is a perfect UK bike and more than capable of Alpine riding as well - up to 140mm fork, 129mm rear travel.
Over £500 discount on some of these frames - see http://www.nicolai-uk.com for details
I'm up for a bigg lads push up up snowdon, though i'll make you all look small. Ill bring my nicolai too
Ian, welcome to join us when we crawl up Snowdon (yet to be arranged but just before the ban is best, so April is most likley.
If you can dwarf me and Ton you must be 21 stone plus
all you need now is a splash of snow to cover it....
i went out on the fells this afternoon and got caught in a snow drift ! and i dont even live in scotland or wales..lol
big pete, 26 actually
Just call me slim
Are you 7' tall
