Does anyone know when its going to be available or if any manufacturers are planning on using it on new bikes.

I would like a cotic simple(orange medium), 11 speed alfine and some 100/120 forks please.

September I've heard, but probably to manufacturers first rather than the public.

Hubs due September for aftermarket.

how much lighter will they be over the 8 speed?

Original reports said approx 100g lighter than the 8 speed version.

I would imagine that manufacturers who currently make Alfine 8 equipped MTBs would also do Alfine 11 versions next year. I'm thinking of Genesis and Charge.

I dont think the point is weght saving over the 8 speed. Less drag and a wider spread of gears is the claim I believe.
