Does anyone know when its going to be available or if any manufacturers are planning on using it on new bikes.

I would like a cotic simple(orange medium), 11 speed alfine and some 100/120 forks please.

September I've heard, but probably to manufacturers first rather than the public.

These can be backordered right now if you speak to your local cycle retailer.

Original reports said approx 100g lighter than the 8 speed version.

I would imagine that manufacturers who currently make Alfine 8 equipped MTBs would also do Alfine 11 versions next year. I'm thinking of Genesis and Charge.

ok, so basically f-ck all then. Running an 8 speed at the mo and its like towing a car tyre!

I think 18 bikes may have them on their website

Thanks, just had a look on the 18 bikes website, £450 for the hub and shifter..betterTstart saving.

I dont think the point is weght saving over the 8 speed. Less drag and a wider spread of gears is the claim I believe.
