Sometime in the last week or two my pc has stopped working on youtube.
I can watch videos if they’re embedded in another web page, such as the Midweek Mini Movies but if I try to watch anything directly from a youtube page I just get a white blank where the picture should be. The sound comes through OK though.

Does anyone know what’s happening there?

you’ve put the ‘Stop me wasting my time looking at videos’ plugin onto Firefox haven’t you?

I re-installed Flash Player earlier

I’m sure I saw a youTube video on how to get this working.

In the meantime, try installing another browser. If it works then it’s a browser or plugin issue.

Do you run any adblock software? YouTube often block vids from playing.

It’s just the same in Chrome and I’m not running any ad blockers that I know of.

The video screen flashes up for a split second then disappears to leave a white space with the sound playing.
