I was clearing out a few things from my mum’s loft and found an old 70’s cardboard coffee table, so decided to do something with it.

Started with this:

I grabbed an old pile of MBUK magazines, made up some wallpaper paste and started covering the table. 4 hours later I had this:

It looks better than the sweet wrappers and is better than nothing! Not sure how long it will stay, if it gets approval I may cover it again, as there are a few things I would do differently.

Brilliant. No need to worry about spills, just paper over them.

Gleaming, send MBUK a picture and they’ll give you some pads, or if you lie and say you’re 18 they’ll send you beer.

you should print off that picture of the table and then paste copies of that picture all over the table

I suppose they did if you want to live in the past. They were faded, ripped, peeling off with paint spilled all over them, looking as though it should be in a skip; not what I wanted.

That was back when Yorkie bars had a letter embossed onto each chunk. With careful use of a sharp knife on part of the “O”, you could rearrange it into a CRIKEY bar.
